Aims

The project aims to:
  • Survey the range of assessment processes used at Masters level in diverse institutions and explore, particularly in professional subject areas, a variety of disciplines and institutions, to identify the diversity of practice in the field;
  • Investigate ways in which students working towards Masters level awards receive formative feedback on their progress;
  • Build a repertoire of assessment methods that can be used to assess students’ skills and achievement at Masters level;
  • Develop an effective staff-student research partnership model;
  • Explore means of personalising Masters assessment;
  • Develop recommendations for good practice regarding providing formative feedback to students working toward Masters level awards.
